I've been reloading pistol cartridges (.40 and .45) on my Dillon 650 for a while now with pretty good results. I'm getting ready to buy a rifle for long range (F Class) shooting. It's a 6mmBR "Norma" caliber and I'm keen to set up for reloading.
Any suggetions for the best press, dies and other tools I'll need? Anything that could help me compile a short list would be greatly appreciated.
I'm looking for extreme consistency here, not volume.
Thanks!

eflatminor,
I personally think you already have one of the best presses for the job. Like you said consistency is going to be the key so I believe it is going to be crucial on your choice of powder and how it meters in you powder measure. I also load progressive and I stay away from extruded powders and work my loads up around ball or flake powder. Now I have a Hornady AP L-n-L press that I use with either a RCBS or a Hornady case activated powder measure depending on whether I am loading rifle or pistol. Both powder measure have a repeatability of <0.1 grains with ball and <0.2 grains with flake; I verify every 25th charge while reloading. I also suspect your Dillon powder measure will also be comparable with the same powders.

I really don't want to mess with the Dillon to load rifle rounds. It's set up for pistol and is CONSTANTLY in use (I'm up to 40,000+ rounds per year). I figured a single stage press was the way to go for rifle, especially when you're dealing with long range accuracy competitions.

eflatminor,
You are correct, you don't want to use the Dillon. I have been shooting 1,000 yard F Class for 5 years now, and know of no one using a progessive press and throwing charges in this game. Any quality single-stage press will work, and the Forster COAX press is probably one of the best. Any quality balance beam scale is good also, as you will be weighing each charge. What is REALLY important is quality dies. I use the Redding Competition Die Set for all the cartridges I reload for. The bushing dies are the best thing to happen in reloading in years. Low neck tension is your friend, and you can easily regulate the amount of neck tension by simply changing to a different size bushing. Be sure to buy a bullet comparator and Stoney Point OAL Gauge, so that you can set up your bullet seating die to seat your bullets a set distance off the lands or into the lands.
