From the link above:

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A University High School substitute teacher may be charged after a gun was found in his vehicle on campus Monday, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Joshua Cummings, 21, was teaching at about 8 a.m. when he was taken into custody after deputies searched his car and found a 9 mm pistol, according to an Orange County sheriff's incident report.

The search was prompted by a parent who called authorities saying that a man driving his car on Rouse Road was scratching his head with a gun. Orange County sheriff's deputies responded and followed the car on campus.

A 9 mm pistol was found next to a clip loaded with 11 cartridges beneath the front passenger seat of Cummings' car, according to the report.

Cummings was released by authorities who recommended that he be charged by the Orange-Osceola State Attorney's Office with possession of a weapon on school grounds, which is a felony.

Cummings is employed by Kelly Services, a temporary employment company.

With the article, there's an image of what looks like a Taurus semi-auto but nothing saying for sure that's what was found.

Scratching his head? is that some kind of maintenance trick to keep it oiled or air dried?
What a novel Idea.

Was he going to teach a class on cinema on, say, Ed Wood's Plan 9?

(In Plan 9 From Outer Space a police detective scratches his
head with his service revolver with his finger in the trigger guard.)

Did not a famous Sandanista shoot himself with his P-35 doing the same thing?

Always remove the Magazine before scratching oneself with a P35.
I knew Col. Cooper had more than 4 rules
