Hi Profs. I own a Taurus 605 and I have a problem with dismantle the extractor rod. Is it strongly fixed in extractor or somewhere inside and I dont know how to dismantle it. Is it possible? The gun is new and functional. I own a Taurus Tracker 627 too and there it can be screwed out. Has the extractor rod in Taurus 605 an equivalent fixation or how is it? Veryvery THANX.

I don't recall if Taurus ever went to left-hand threads or not; I know S&W did and Taurus usually copies S&W in their changes. But it is one possibility, so don't really mess something up by using a lot of force in the wrong direction.

Yes they went. On my Taurus 627 Tracker the extractor rod have left-hand thread. But can it be fixed otherwise? Not a simply screw? It's hold madly. I dont know how they build it on.
