On the auction sites you see price ranges from under $200 for pretty rough condition pistols to $500+ for very good condition. These pistols are usually marked .32 Colt NP Ctg. It is the same cartridge as the .32 S&W Long but Colt would not put S&W's name on their guns. You can also fire .32 S&W in it as its a shorter and less powerful cartridge but it is usually harder to find and is more expensive. These guns are fine little shooters. Here is a link to an article shooting a .32 Colt. http://gunblast.com/Cumpston_32Colt.htm

The gun will also fire and eject .32 ACP ammunition. I use .32 ACP FMJ ammo in all my .32 S&W Long revolvers.

If you are paying factory ammo prices, .32 ACP is much cheaper than .32 S&W Long.

Same here. I use .32 acp in my Taurus model 76 in 32 long. It is accurate and .32 acp is rimmed, so extraction is no problem.

Oops. Almost highjacked your thread. I'll start a new thread concerning ammo interchangability.
