I was looking at harris bipods, and the presense (or lack there of) of the M designation in their product numbers indicates with or without "Leg notches". Problem is, I cant find any information as to what that difference means. Anybody know ? I want to order one right now, but I can't figure out the difference. It's driving me crazy searching the net for an answer.

Example:
Harris Bipod Model 1A2-L 9" to 13" Solid Mount Black
Harris Bipod Model 1A2-LM 9" to 13" with Leg Notch Solid Mount Black

I would GUESS that they are preset adjustment settings for height, but I cant find any clear indication of that. If so, which do you recommend ?

I believe that means the legs have notches, making adjusting the legs easier.

Well, I was impatient as ever, and ordered the Model 1A2-LM (with notches) anyway. We'll see how it turns out. :o Thanks for the top pic Mannix , I was having a hard time finding a picture with the notches. I'm not sure I like that actually, I may have ordered the other one , but I had already done it on impulse... heh. Oh well, I'm sure its a decent product anyway , and if I really dont like it then somebody here on THR will want it at a slight discount I'm sure.
