I was hanging out with an old friend today when we decided to take a hop over to his nieghbors house to check out his RC cars. Neat little things. After BSing around we started talking about guns and what not and discovered he has an unusal problem.

The extractor on his Star Firestar M40 is broken and he is unable to locate and extractor for his firearm. Also he doesnt know how to get the extractor out.

Does anyone have any suggestions on locating a new extractor and removing the old one. Any help from the THR crowd would be much appreciated!

To take the extractor out, punch out the pin at the top of the slide above the extractor and the extractor and spring will come out. Bren

Thanks for the information I will forward that to my friend. He has never been able to take apart the M40 until I showed up last night. He tried pounding the pin but it wouldnt budge. :)

I'll have him give those guys a call for extra parts.
