Let's keep up the pressure so we don't lose or severly limit the new CCW law in Minnesota. I received this email from the CCRN group and we need to keep the pressure up. And any out of state folks that want to help us out with a couple emails are greatly appreciated. Under the new law we generally do recognize out of state premits. Feel free to repost. Anyway, here's the email with important links:

Dear CCRNers:
Whew! Let's take a breath and see where things stand: An update
on Ramsey County, your county commissioners and city council,
and now the opposition is after Target stores.
LIVE IN RAMSEY COUNTY OR ST PAUL? KEEP UP THE PRESSURE! --
The county commissioners have put off the vote until next week
(9:00 AM, Tuesday, June 24th 2003). A StarTribune report:
http://www.startribune.com/stories/462/3942482.html
You can find your Ramsey County commissioners at:
http://www.co.ramsey.mn.us/cb/index.asp
You can email all Ramsey County commissioners using the "EMAIL
THE ENTIRE BOARD" link at http://www.mnccrn.org/
LIVE ELSEWEHRE? COMMISSIONERS & COUNCILS NEED TO HEAR YOU! --
Even if *your* county or city boards have not yet taken a position
on permit holders, we *still* need to tell them where we stand.
Call, email, or write your county and city board members and
tell them (politely but clearly):
"Don't even *think* about banning carry permit-holders! I'm
a law-abiding citizen and I vote!"
Then add your own opinion. These comparisons will help you:

http://www.mnccrn.org/alerts/pub_bldg.pdf (Adobe Acrobat)
Prevention is *always* less expensive than "treatment!"
TARGET NEEDS YOUR THANK YOUS... -- Target doesn't ban permit-holders,
but the opposition wants to see it happen.
It's time to say "Thank you, Target, this law-abiding citizen
will be shopping there!"
You can email your "Thank you" to:
guest.relations@target.com
(or use the "Target" link at http://www.mnccrn.org/)
Send a card to:
Robert J. Ulrich
Target Corp.
PO Box 9350
Minneapolis, MN 55440
Remember, too, that Target, Marshall Field's, and Mervyns stores
are all part of Target Corporation (http://www.targetcorp.com/).
...LUNDS/BYERLY'S STILL NEED THANK YOUS... -- These folks really
do respect law-abiding carry permit-holders. Email thanks to:
Michelle.Croteau@lfhi.com
(or use the "Lunds/Byerly's" link at http://www.mnccrn.org/)
Send a thank you to:
Lunds & Byerly's
Lunds Food Holdings Inc
4100 West 50th Street
Edina, Minnesota 55424
...SO DO LEGISLATORS -- Keep those thank you cards rolling into
MPPA legislators. Mailing labels, for all legislators that
supported MPPA, can be found at:
http://www.mnccrn.org/alerts/tu_sens.doc (Senators)
http://www.mnccrn.org/alerts/tu_reps.doc (Representatives)
It's all unexpected work, folks, but we've got to be pro-active
again, as the opposition just won't let this end.
