Went to Wally World this am. The sporting goods section had several knives on clearance. A Buck Tactical fixed blade caught my eye so I asked to look at it. I was surprised that it had BUCK stamped on one side of the blade and TAIWAN stamped on the other side! Have I missed something? How long has BUCK been selling imports? No, I didn't buy it.

I just read an article in Time on how Buck is starting to send stuff over sea's. You see, even BUCK can't manage the high cost of American employee's in this country. Besides, they are getting their butts kicked by Benchmade and others. Hell my BUCK I have was purchased in 1984 and Its still in use today. But the times are a changing and children in the far east are cheaper than any body here in the USA!

When Old Man Buck died, his son went to a lower grade steel and Buck knives were never the same after that.
