OK, so SB501 passed out of the legislature the way most of us CHL holders wanted it to, and I know that it was on Perry's desk. My question is: did he sign it yet?

I checked the signed bills on the tex gov site to day and it doesn't show up as signed.
Of course the liberoids are still campaigning for him to veto it. It went to his desk with the expectation that he would sign it and I'm not too sure that a bunch of whining from his political enemies are going to change his mind.
Stupid and cowardly city governments who are afraid of their subjects can probably still post their city halls and police buildings . Such offices generally conduct court business, house prisoners or have on-going government meetings.
they might very well not be able to post their zoos, convention centers and so-called public service offices.
Interesting characters were mentioned in an earlier string on this. I learned about:
Houston Mayor Out-of-Town, Lee P. (Leapy) Brown;
Former Houston Mayor, Tootsie Whitmire
and the governor is called " His Aggieness" After his alma mater,
Texas Agriculture and Mechanics College. This is a very improper nickname since students and graduates of Texas A&M are properly referenced as " Agro-Americans."

Speaking of Rick Perry...,
I'll keep my eyes on the bill and see if it gets his signature,but...
Did anyone see that Rick Perry called a special session for redistricting? Yup, the Democrats that took off to Oklahoma to illegally block redistricting did so in vane. I'm a happy guy :)
