Shoulder Holster fitting

I recently obtained a Galco Jack-Ass rig shoulder holster for my Kimber Compact. Not a bad rig: quality leather, retention strap, tension screw, straight forward to adjust. A MAJOR difference from the Uncle Mikes rig I first bought...velcro is NOT your friend.

Any hints and tips to get a proper fit? As it stands now, the firearm side is basically parallel with my ribs as that is the thinnest part on the side part of my body. With an the ammo carrier side is fairly well adjusted. I adjusted it so it sits straighter and directly under my arm, so printing is minimal.

But I was wondering if some veterans could throw out some general guidelines to keep in mind when trying to adjust a shoulder rig. Thanks!

Some people like it tucked high up under the way. I always wore my Miami Classics with the gun much lower. Most people are a little wider lower in the chest - making it less likely for the gun to bulge in the back.
