I inherited a stainless Winchester Model 52 in reasonable shape. According to one of those internet sites the rifle was manufactured in 1930. Gopguy says that according to his reference book the gun couldn't have been made then. I hope he's wrong. Serial number is 15256. The rifle is in decent shape, I wonder what it is worth?

The Blue Book serial number list dates your serial number to 1930. It also states that Stainless barrels were offered at serial number 17,000 to 27,000 which is from 1930 to 1934. Perhaps a letter from the Buffalo Bill Historical Center is in order. A paradox however stainless barrels were offered as an after market item.
