Are there any good sites similar to this one but concerned solely
with archery? Places where the novice can benefit from the
experience and advice of others? If only THR/TFL had been
around 15 years ago I never would have bought that Bryco

I haven't been by in a long time, but www.stickbow.com really impressed me with the TFLesque ambiance.
There's nothing like making your kit from scratch to really set you in the mood.

Try edersbow.com. Excellent site dedicated to archery in all it's forms. They have all sorts of archery forums there as well. I highly recommend that site. Great website if you are looking for archery equipment. Knowledgable staff who are bowhunters themselves. All around excellent bow website.

Wow Sir Galahad.
Archery talk is a great forum.
I took up archery about a year ago to help me conquer a flinching problem when shooting firearms.
It worked.
I have a little Matthew's Genesis and when I want to get zen, out comes the bow.
Thanks for the reference, I am over there already posting under my THR name.
Brad.
