Seems that Mossberg has discontinued their line of semiauto shotguns. Poor sales, quality problems, or other?

They stopped producing the 9200 several years ago maybe 5 or 6 years ago. There was a thread over at the old TFL site, I think, which indicated they had some cycling problems or maybe they weren't at all popular.

I'm informed by my local dealer that Mossberg will be introducing a new model of semi-auto shotgun later this year (or perhaps at the SHOT Show next year). He claims it will not be a re-working of the 9200, but a completely new shotgun. Anyone heard anything to confirm or deny this? I have a 9200 in turkey configuration, and like it very much... if there's a new Mossberg semi on the way, that will be great news!

Hmmm, that interesting to know. I might buy one if it's not to expensive and knowing Mossberg it won't be. Might be fun to own one as a curiousity expessially if they discontinue the new model in a couple of years.
