I'm going to order the Lee Classic turret press kit from Kempf's for Father's Day. What else do I need to buy that is not included in the kit or that I should upgrade from components included in the kit? I have "The ABCs of Reloading" committed to memory so I'm ready to go. I will order the 38/357 dies. I will also reload for my 348, but I already have a 2-die set from RCBS and a Lee factory crimp die. I also plan to reload for 30/06.

You may want to upgrade to the Pro auto disc powder measure.
Additionally you'll need a scale and larger powder measure for your rifle reloading. I have RCBS equipment there so I can't comment on how good the Lee scale and thrower are. You'll also need a caliper (digital from Harbor Freight works well), safety glasses, at least one load guide such as Lyman's, Speer, or Hornady. Load data is also available on the internet from the powder manufacturers. You'll also need case lube and trimmers for rifle reloading.

When you order from Kempf's make sure you get dies+turret head for extra calibers. Then order the Double Disk System for the Pro Auto Disk--you will need that to drop larger powder charges for rifle.

The scale is in the kit; get calipers from them too--they have them for $24.95--

Scale is included; you can just call Sue Kempf to make sure. They have good deals on tumblers too.

I just received the Kempf kit. The scale and bullet puller are not included in the $145 price. To be covered for large and small primers, you might want to also get the Lever Prime System Upgrade for $8.

My advice would be to upgrade to the large and small safety prime and the Pro Auto Disk. I also use the Lee case trimmer for 223 and I think it works great. I chuck the lock stud in a battery drill and trim, chamfer and debur all in a matter of seconds.

What George757 siad. I too just got the Kempf kit. The scale and bullet puller are not included.

As everyone else said get the updrades for Pro Auto disk powder measure ($9.95) and Lever Prime System for large and small primers ($8.00).

That's the safety prime system for large and small primers, not lever prime system or do they call it that on the Kempf website?

The upgrade is for the lever arm of the size not included and the Safety Prime trigger for that size --so you end up with capability for both small and large primers, I believe.

Kempf's will only send the primer feeder assembly for the size of the caliber you order with the kit. I ordered .38 Special dies with my kit so I only got the small primer feeder.
