SA 1911 front sight problem

On the 3rd or 4th trip to the range the pin came out that holds the beavertail front sight on. Its a Springfield Armory full size 1911 w/ night sights. With the pin gone, the sight just about drifted out. Had SA send me a new pin, pounded it in, and went to the range couple days ago. Well, it popped out again. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions, before I send it back to SA. Thanks a bunch.

Loc-tite
It's the answer to every metal to metal problem where you want a permanent but reversible "weld."

Consider yourself semi-lucky....I can't get mine out at all. :( I have the Novak Sights, but have to take it in to get them installed.

Great call, Boats. Thanks. I'll give it a try. That's lookin' on the bright side, Coyote.

Actually, it's the dim side.
I got the sight off....then broke the glass vial when I installed the new sight. :( That's an expensive mistake.

Had the same problem. I used the Loc-Tite (red) as mentioned above. One correction though, the Loc-Tited pin can be removed with just a bit of heat applied first with the tip of a soldering iron then drifted out.
