Tactical Shooting / Combat Handgun Magazines?

I would do a search on this topic, but a search with the word Magazine on THR would just be pointless, however any links to previous threads would be appreciated.

I shoot and train for combat and tactical situations, not pin point accuracy. Like many I carry a weapon daily, and I have had jobs in the past where a weapon was required, and I train and plan to compete with those needs in mind. I would like to find a magazine that has many articles on tactical shooting / combat methods without feeling like I am unworthy of reading or the "odd one out" because I am not in SWAT nor am I am member of the latest and greatest special forces unit. Obviously I am not going to find a magazine dedicated to civilians who practice and train in these disciplines, but I would hope that I could find one where every article doesnt start with "My unit" or "The raid" or "So and So's department or agency". I would also like not to see every ad be for equipment used to clear houses or the brand new super secret law enforcement only gizmo this month. I know many of you will mention Concealed Carry Magazine, and while Tim is a great guy, I just didnt care for the magazine last time I had a subscription 2 or 3 years ago.

Am I simply out of luck?

A problem with both magazines and online forums is that it is much harder to effectively write about, or discuss, training, skill, and tactics than it is to talk about tools and technology, the latest gadget.

For actual "How-To's", there are often articles on techniques in USPSA's "Front Sight", but these do focus more on "practical shooting" and competition than tactical stuff, per se.
