Did Ruger ever make this revolver?

GP100
4" barrel
Stainless
Short shroud
Adjustable sights

If so...Why can't I find one?

I know they make a full underlug version in 4", but I don't know about half/short.

It has been made, but the short shroud isn't currently being produced. Not that many of them were made and they do command a small collector premium. If it's that big a deal to you, any Smith could short shroud a regular model for you for not too much money.

My ideal configuration would be a stainless 4" in 10mm.

I am happy with the HB 4" GP100. I would like to have a light barrel 5", and I think they made a short run of these, but I don't expect to see it any time soon.

in Fremont, Nebraska can make one of those for you - they have a write up on one under the articles on their website.

Ruger doesn't make what you are looking for but S&W does. It's the Model 620 and it's a very nice revolver. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=11101&storeId=10001&productId=14804&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=15705&isFirearm=Y

I bought the Model 619, it's fixed sight sister. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=11101&storeId=10001&productId=14803&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=26806&isFirearm=Y

Meprolight makes an adjustable night sight "set."

I have them on my GP100. :)
