anyone here have one/shot one? i've seen them in shotgun news and i went to their website and they look like good actions. for those that don't know what the action is, it's basically an M70 winchester mixed with a mauser. i was thinking about getting one and having it chambered for .300WM or .300 WSM. any thoughts?

All the information you could possibly want is at the forums of accuratereloading.com in the gunsmithing section. Do a search for 1999 action. Rod and Dan from Montana Rifleman also post there. Many of us have ordered actions from them. Good hunting

also check www.24hourcampfire.com for info on these actions. montana actions advertises there, posts there, and sold quite a few there.

i've yet to handle one, but from what i have read in various forums they seem to be a very quality action, a great custom for the money, but they are heavy - which is a consideration if you want to build an ultra-light rifle...
