I was at my local pawn shop the other day and happen to see what looked like a semiauto shot gun.first thing i looked at was the price $120 then the model and caliber.it's a sear's 300 in 20gauge.the first thing that went thrue my head was that would be a great gun for my wife, now i know that the sear's 300 is the same as a winchester 1400 i think, but the stock to frame look diffrent the 300 is a strait line and the 1400 is like a sideway v stock to frame.i'm thinking of fixing it up for her, tactical style.i'd like to get her a over under for hunting.my question is do most of the part's interchange from the 1400 to the 300 and doe's anybody make a tube mag extension for the 1400 and if they only make it for 12gauge will it fit the 20gauge,any other info on aftermarket tactical part welcomed
P.S. I can paint the stock black but i'd rather find a black plastic stock for it.

If it is related to the winchester 1400 (and one online cross reference says it is), then the mag is 2 shots max. The gas piston takes up the front half of the mag tube. No extension is possible.

I bought a winchester 1400 recently. It's a bird/clay gun only. Anything 'tactical" is handled by an 870 that is suitably equiped to look out of place at a skeet range :neener:

thank's 1911user i guess we'll keep it for her for hunting.
it's cheaper that way, and i can put some money on a worth while shotgun for her.
i like a rem 870 in 20gauge for her.
but we'll see you never know when i may come across a rem 1100 in
20 gauge at the pawn shop.

full metal, Several years ago, I took my wife shotgun shopping. She settled on a youth model 20 ga. Rem. 870 Express. It had the best fit for her, and as a bonus, I liked it also(read: light and easy to carry in the field because I am getting older). Old 112
