The local shop had a Colt Anaconda .44 mag on the shelf. Wanted one for about 10 years, but never saw one at a price I liked.
No box, no papers, and very dirty, but the trigger is fantastic, the cylinder is tight, and the finish is great.
While in the shop, I saw they're looking for help, so I filled out a job app, and things seem promising (P/T only, but still working in a gun shop). Funny how a random trip to the shop can be such a good time.

eastwood44mag - Great gun. I've got a 629, always liked colts too. Good luck on the job.

Very dirty? Why? How difficult is it to clean a stainless steel revolver? A couple of swipes with a lead removal cloth and the job is done.
Looks like that shop can use your help.

If the shop spends the time and effort to clean up the revolver then most likely the price goes up and your great deal just went down the drain.

Cleaning a stainless revolver is really hard, guys.
After all, I can't work at it for more than about 2 minutes at a time before the smell from the lead-away cloth makes me see small mutant demons resembling Rosie O'Donnel.......about that time I realize Pelosi is on TV, so I don't get so worried about the fumes anymore.
