Hi guys, just wondering if there is any way to rid myself of the mag brake on my CZ 75B. I like for my empty mags to drop free while I reach for a fresh one. Can it be done? Is it easy to do? Could I potentially mess something up by tampering with it? Thanks for your help. If someone could give me a step by step that would be awesome.

Just stick your finger in there, and push it back as hard as you can push, worked for me. CZ sells the flat version, also.:)

If you remove it completely, you run the risk of hitting the hammer spring with the mag lips when you insert it. Better to mod the spring (straighten it) or buy the flat style from CZ than remove it altogether.

Basically, as simple as JDGray said. Worked on all four of mine.

You guys must have some steel fingers because all I got were sore fingers with no change to how the mags drops. It's no biggie for me anyway, I don't mind the mag brake.

Push directly on the bend and it will flatten a bit. There's a bend at the top and bottom, flatten both and you're good to go. It doesn't take much.

Woot! I was putting pressure all over the brake, even in the middle. Your instructions made all the difference. Thanks!:D
