i used cci magnum primers to reload for the first time last nite... they were magnum small pistol primers and it seemed like they were a little harder to get flush with bottom of the case... i was useing my lee autoprime like always and they just didn't want to not stick out more than the winchesters i usually use... i don't know if it's because they were mag primers or maybe all ccis have a little thicker tougher shells on em....... anyone notice anything like this??

I use CCI's 'almost' exclusively. 38spl, .357mag, .44mag, .45acp, 30-06, 30-338, 30-30. If primer pockes are clean, I don't notice the difference between them or Win, Rem, or Fed primers when I seat them with a Lee Autoprime. There are some subtle visual differences, but not enough to be alarmed about.

Tasco74...Send them to me...I'll use them...I too, have a Lee Auto Prime II and have no problem priming all calibre cases with CCI primers...They do tend to be about .0005 larger then the rest, but that is no problem for me (and evidently no problem for JackOfAllTradesAndMasterOfNone either)...

I've used CCI for 20+ years, all types and calibers, with no issues.
