Mirage Technologies Question

Got the CC bill last week & there was a ammo charge by Mirage Technologies for back ordered ammo that's not expected in till the middle of August.
After checking out their website I can't find anything about when they charge the CC on back ordered items. The CC was charged the same day it was ordered & I've not had a reply to 2 e-mails sent asking this question.
Is it normal to charge the CC on something that's back ordered several months out???

Same problem here. Ordered 2 different types of ammo, charged for both, received one. The other on backorder. Very slow in replying to emails. Haven't tried calling, may be the best way of getting hold of them. I love their prices though on Gold Dot 50 rd. boxes.

not uncommon for that to happen, but IMHO,the better outfits "don't charge till product shipped" and the better outfits state so. jwr

Oh, damn. I didn't want to see that. I have two backorders, one since February. Expected delivery dates have been missed. But Tom at Mirage Tech insisted at the time that he didn't bill credit cards until shipment. I had better check my statement carefully now, since his policy might have changed. His prices are great, but I won't put up with paying in advance for shipments without at least a firm delivery date. Mirage Tech isn't real communicative by email. It's also iffy whether anybody will pick up a phone call. I reached Tom a couple of months ago and asked about an order. He gave me the info, but asked that I register on his newly created e-store and use the email inquiry. I've done that, but email response is sporadic and uncertain. I'm willing to wait, but not indefinitely.

Ya would think that they would tell ya up front about charging the CC instead of letting ya find out when the bill arrives.
It just seems more professional and customer oriented to let ya know up front instead of having a nasty surprise ya were not expecting and had not budgeted for this CC billing period.
