My Benchmade Griptillian just came in the mail yesterday. I got it from Grand Prairie Knives.

Benchmade puts out a good product. They have ever since they were Bali-Song Inc.

now if they could only add a wave....

BTW, nice blade, bet it won't look like that for long:)

there are people who grind out the front of the opening hole to make a wave.
Or you could put a zip tie on the hole.

That blade shape reminds me of those Tim Wenger-designed Spyderco/BladeTech folders:

Looks like a practical design for day-to-day use. When it comes to small folders, I like hollow-ground blades with a bit of a belly to them.

You have the best of both worlds there. The Spyderhole and Axis lock. Congrats on the knife. I have played with one before and really enjoyed it. One thing I wish Benchmade would do is curve the end of the blade a little more to make it a good finger choil then you'd have a definite winner there.

These are great knives. I have the modified drop point griptilian, and I love it.

have dropped a number of not so subtle hints about Father's Day.
How comfortable is carrying it in your back pocket?

I carry mine in the back pocket occasionally and have no problem. My son carries his in the back pocket exclusively.

I love mine (also from Grand Prairie, I'm lucky enough to live relatively close to them.)

When I got mine a couple of months ago, they were having a sale on the old-style trainers. The only difference I can find is that the trainer still has the oval hole for opening. Other than that, a perfect replica with a high-quality Axis lock of its own.

I've found I really love this thing.
