A few days ago I got my Colt Enhanced Officers ACP slide back from fellow THR member John Harrison at Harrison Custom.

I had sent my slide to him to convert the raised flat top of the slide to a round top configuration, add 30 lpi serrations, install a dovetailed front sight, bevel the front of the slide, and reblue it.

All I can say is wow! He does some awesome work. Check out the pictures. The level of detail is incredible. He even used a white plastic rod in the front sight rather than a painted dot. Cool!

I am very picky about my guns and he did not disappoint me at all. If you need custom 1911 work done, I can highly recommend him.

Beautiful! Mr. Harrison is on my list to make me a "someday" pistol. As in "Someday, when I am finally able to afford a really nice pistol"....

Enjoy!

I will second the recommendation about John. He has built me three guns, I bought two of his guns secondhand, bought one he built for himself, and he is building me another gun now. The guns that I carry to protect my family and myself are John's guns. Top notch work from a really nice and honest guy.
