Hi guys how are you.
Wow this is the coolest site for asking question about guns. Im glad I found this site.
Anyhow I wanted to ask where I can buy Cheap Amo online for my S&W 357 Magnum.
Since you guys are more familiar with products. All I want is Cheap Bullets but something that won’t mess up the gun and ofcourse not too cheap where it sucks.
I bought this brand FIOCCHI from the local place for $20 for Box of 50 142Gr is there a place i can get the same type of quality bullets for cheap?
Thanks Guys

You could always run cheap .38 Special for practice and save the expensive stuff ofr strictly self-defense ammo. Be careful... they might shoot to different points of aim vs. points of impact.
And welcome to The High Road.

try cheaperthendirt.com, they normally have lots of low priced, good quality ammunition. Last catalog from them, they had lots of 38/357 from sellier and beloit and remington for under 20 bucks a box of 50.

What I meant was that I want to buy Amunition not Bullets :-)
Looks like a rookie mistake

Try Zero Reloaded ammunition; you can shop for it here:

I believe their prices include shipping, and their ammunition is reliable, quality stuff.

Magtech is my prefered .357 fodder. It is reasonably priced, and shoots cleanly and accurately in both of my .357 guns. Try Natchez or Outdoor Marksman. They are usually the online price leaders for new domestic ammo.

Outdoor Marksman (http://www.outdoormarksman.com/buyammo.php)

Widners had Blazer aluminum for <$10 a few weeks ago. Some have warned about doing business with Wideners, though...

why buy cheap 357 ammo? if you're just looking for somthing for target practice just look for some magtech .38 speacials they're like 10 bucks for a box of 50 and most shops have them, atleast that way you'd save on the shipping.

Occasionally, MidwayUSA will have a sale on certain ammo.

Dunno about the rest of the country but here on the west coast you'll find quality ammo at very reasonable prices at the gun shows.
Welcome aboard.

I want to ask one thing though what’s the main difference between 38 special and the 357 magnum ammunition.

This should answer your question.

One piece of advice. If you're going to shoot both .38 special and .357 on the same day, fire the .357 first and then the .38s.
The longer .357 case will seat past the carbon ring in the chamber left by the shorter .38 spec case. This can make it difficult to eject the .357 cases.

I like Collins Cartridge ammo. They sell 250 rounds of .357 125gr hollowpoint reloads for $95 plus shipping.

I practice with a fairly cheap .38 special ammo and then fire a few cheap .357s just to keep in touch with the recoil difference.
As long as you haven't shot hundreds of .38s, the .357s will eject ok.
DO brush those chambers out good with a brass brush after letting the Hoppe's #9 soak for a few minutes.
After cleanup I load with the expensive .357s just in case the BGs show up........DO care enough to send the very best.
Sell & Bell (Czech, I can't spell it) is pretty good practice ammo.....Fiocchi (Italian) is good also, cheap, but still fairly clean.
Watch for sales and stock up......ammo has a very long shelf life.
Some of the cheapest stuff makes you wonder if they slipped you black powder loads.
