Congratulations! I bought one, at a muzzle loading shoot a week before you did. Mine is a great revolver and yours should be, too.

Boom-Stick, I know you well enjoy your Old Army.

I bought mine when the first came on the market and got the 327th one made in 1972 (71/2" barrel, blued).

I still have it and still shoot it. After 25 years it is still one of my most accurate and reliable revolvers.

Well I took my sweet time due to family commitments but I finally took it out to the range last weekend and I love it. Very accurate, well more accurate than I am anyway. After much research I only tried two different loads, 40g and 45g no wad, plenty of bore butter, 25yrds and 2-3" groups. Lots of smoke big & loud bangs, it was great I am hooked. Most of the guys I shoot with don't or haven't shot pistol due to our crappy laws and everyone wanted a go, I think I may have even converted one to "the way of the front stuffer"

Now looking for some tips,
What cappers do you guys recommend?

What holster? (uncle mike etc..)

And what Hogue rubber grips fit the OA?

Also gonna get some practise rolling some papers too;)

I'd be happy with a nylon one just as long as it does the job.

I believe you can use any grips that fit a New Model Ruger Blackhawk on an ROA.
