Revolver question for movie buffs...

I'm a big fan of Lena Olin, especially of her performance in ROMEO IS BLEEDING as Mona Demarkov. Anyone know what type of revolver she used in the movie?

I barely remember that movie. If you really want to know, buy the DVD!

I remember she took a Ruger SP-101 .357 Magnum with a 3" barrel from Gary Oldman's character.

I'm surprised, I actually own the DVD and to me it looks like a S&W gun. Likely a model 60 or something not much bigger....

Too bad it's the double action only gun...the trigger must be a bitch and probably can't cock the hammer for single shots...

The SP-101 comes with or without an external hammer. The SP-101 has kind of a funky d/a pull but it is manageable.
If you want to cock the gun for range use, that's OK, but never cock a revolver for defensive purposes. Real life ain't the movies.

I hear you....I've been getting all kinds of feedback about this gun. I'm inclined to think on the trigger alone -- I should try this one out first. This is one of two revolvers I'm thinking about. Might just go with the S&W 686P and check this one out on a later date. Thanks people for putting up with a semi-dumb question. :D
