My dad has a S&W K-22 revolver. The serial # is K-62744. Can anyone tell me when it was made? Thanks.

Should be 1948.

Great vintage masterpiece. Post a picture when you get a chance. :)

Yep - 1948 but - I am thinking this could be almost called a ''pre K22'' as it should be the five screw. Mine IIRC is 1950.

Pre- K22? Who came up with that idea? Even the Outdoorsman which was the very first model was still the K22 (a .22 chambered K-frame). It is a pre-M17 though.
