1911 Magazine Pouches - what's your choice?

I plan on carrying a 5" 1911 IWB starting this fall. I've narrowed down the belt and holster, but I am not sure what kind of magazine pouch to get.
What are your preferences? In-the-Waistband, or On-the-Waistband? One mag or two? Or, just stick them in your pockets? Also, please post who makes your favorite magazine pouch.
Note that I will be carrying a single stack 45ACP 1911 with 7 round magazines.
Thanks!

I can't stand my fobus holsters, but I have a fobus 1911 mag holder that works great. Small paddle area, good retention, holds magazine nice and tight.

I use a Blackhawk clip on mag holder.
as a matter of fact all my mag/ holsters are blackhawk, except for my shoulder rig..
What part of Eastern NC?
If in / near Jax check out Operators warehaouse, they got tons of stuff , great service and really good prices. they are also up to something on the out skirts of town.. so keep a heads up

Umm, why not eight rounders?
But at any rate, I carry a double mag pouch, OWB. Since I carry the gun OWB, it seems slightly silly to carry the mags iwb. Of course, there have been times that I've favored the "new york reload." AKA, an extra 1911. It's actually more comfortable than one might think, since it balances the load out. Sucks for sitting down, though.

for 1911's I prefer the Milt Sparks owb snap style. Can't think of the official number (4C?). I generally carry a single, but have a couple so if the mood strikes me I can carry more than one. If you get singles rather than doubles it gives you more flexibility, but some like the doubles.

I carry a Kirkpatrick Leather OWB, high-ride double, unless I'm carrying a BUG (which could well be another 1911).

I prefer not to carry spare mags while CCW. I don't really see going up against more than 7 assailants at a time:)

Had a feeling that the OWB type would be preferred. It's not like a single stack 1911 mag is all that hard to conceal.

I hear ya. And it's not like I'd last long against that many attackers anyway, regardless of the number of rounds I had. My only CCW piece right now is a S&W 642, and I do not feel underarmed carrying it. If I did, it would be time to move :p.
Carrying an extra mag/speedloader or two is more of a confidence boost for me I guess, not that I'd realistically need them (most fights end with no shots fired, and only a tiny percentage go past 3 or 4).
I'm thinking I'll go with an OWB 2-mag pouch at this point. It would give me the option to carry a second if I choose. Thank you for all the help.
Please keep the suggestions comming.

I carry my 5" 1911 in an IWB rig and a 1 mag, 1 light pouch OWB off hand - both pieces of leather are from Gary Brommeland and I'm quite happy with both. :)

I dont either, and in almost ten years I've never had a flat tire. But I still carry a spare magazine, and a spare tire.

When it's a 1911, I always carry 2 spare mags, OWB. Magazines are thin and don't take up much room, so I don't see the need for a IWB magazine carrier.
