I'm flipping through a copy of Hy Hunter's 1956 catalog I got off of Ebay, and on the back page, they show a quartet of the world's ugliest rifles. These were semi-"custom" sporters built on FN Mauser, Remington, and Winchester actions, with gold-plated barrels, trigger-guards, and actions, so many ivory, ebony, and onyx inlays on the stock that you couldn't find space to scratch your initials, and Zeiss scopes covered with South American lizard skin. Truly hideous, I assure you, but I can't believe the B&W photos do them justice; has anyone ever seen one of these monstrosities in the flesh?

Never saw one. Never wanted to. I remember the catalog. Would rather forget it. Now I will have nightmares.

Aw, other than the scope, I think it looks nice. I wouldn't take it hunting for fear of being laughted at ( By both my friends and the animals ) but it would look nice hanging on the wall.
