The load was 38colt with 18gr FFF and a 158 rnfp. The chipmunk was taken at 23 yards one handed and the bunny 20 yards two handed.

Nice shooting there.
I've got that exact same revolver but mine has a shorter barrel.
I notice you use BP loads. Have you ever used commercial "cowboy" loads in it, or regular 38SP loads? If so how does it shoot with those loads?
Does it tend to shoot high?
I just purchased mine a short time ago, and I haven't yet found time to go to the range and find out how mine shoots. Sort of a bummer, since even more recently I acquired a 2nd model Colt Dragoon (Uberti) and I also need to get that to the range and shoot it, too!
If you have any tips on the conversion, I'd sure be interested!!!
Thanks for posting thos pix!!

This one shoots to poa as long as the beads all the way down in the rear sight. Many of the conversions and open tops do shoot high, however due to the sight arangement I often catch myself holding up too much front sight with them. I havent shot smokless or specials through mine but I'm sure they'd do well and probably better than my loads.
