My CZ-82 is on the way...need ammo help

My CZ-82 package from AIM Surplus is on the way and should be here Monday:D

Now I need some help choosing which ammo to order. I'm not a great shot to begin with so no need to order the really pricey stuff. I had some Brown Bear 9x18 with my PA-63 but it would jam now and then. I don't know if it was the ammo or the pistol. Any recommendations on what would give me the most bang for my buck?

Be gentle and polish your feed ramp, those smaller round guns can be touchy but a ramp polish will usually do the trick.

Lucky! I would try it before polishing the ramp, it could be that you got a good one. I don't have a lot of experience with CZ82s, but my Maks love Brown Bear and Fiocchi. Make sure to visit the CZForum for other opinions.

I personally don't own any guns that are "picky", I like my guns to shoot everything I can buy.

I've shot S & B 95gr. FMJ in my CZ-82 without any problems.also the Silver Bear 94gr. JHP shoots real well. Cheaper Than Dirt carries both at fair prices. jwr

Well I've got some Brown Bear in the mail and my CZ is waiting at the UPS hub for me to pick up today after work :D

The 9MM Makarov ammo will have some added zip to it mostly due to the polygonal rifling in the barrel. You will be impressed by the groups that you can do.

So far my CZ-82 has shot everything I've loaded in it. Straight out of the box it is one of the best medium sized pistol I've ever owned.

MFS +P runs well in my PA-63 and cz-82 keep the brass its good for reloading, and it doesn't feel hotter than the normal stuff

silver bear FMJ runs well in both too.

In 9x18......the cheaper the ammo the better.
