I picked up 7 boxes of 16 gauge for $40 and the 12 and 20 is priced even cheaper! They even had .410 and 28 gauge for sale. It was all Remington ammo. If you live near a Dunhams you might want to check it out.

That's good that you found some deals at Dunhams. I normally find their prices to be higher than at other gun shops.

Dunham's can be quite ahhhhhh well 'spotty' on ammo pricing. Their normal non-sale prices are OK, but if you find stuff 'on sale', frequently can be very good pricing indeed.

About 18 months ago, I cleaned off a shelf of the Federal 12-Ga #6 & #7-1/2. IIRC, it was the 1-1/8-Oz load, for $3/box. It was the red boxed stuff, but not the 'value-packs'.

Dunhams here will match prices with Dick's. I love it when Dick's runs a "loss-leader" ad for Remington at $2.98 a box in case lots. I always pick up several cases since Dunhams is only 3 miles away.

I'm on Michigans UP and there aren't a whole lot of places to buy shells let alone 16 gauge. These were cheaper than buying on line and having them shipped.
