I looked for a days for anything *bad* that owners were willing to gripe about with their Crosman 1377 pellet pistols, and, hearing none, the motion passed ;)

Sports Authority had a decent price (a shade under $50), and free shipping for orders over $99, so I ended up getting two of them and a tin of pellets.

I hope this turns out to be as much of a fun plinker as I imagine it to be -- from the accuracy claims I've been finding (including test targets), I'm pretty sure the guns will be more accurate than me.

And with two, it will be fun for plinking competitions at my family reunion :)

Anyone who has one of these and would like to comment, I'd love to hear more about it below. (What kind of accuracy do *you* get?)

I have an RWS 350 magnum in .22 caliber. I think it does 1100 Fps with a .22 cal pellet. Its accurate and it hits hard. I've owned some cheaper bb/pellet guns when I was younger, but this time I paid some big bucks and bought something nice.

The stock breeches in those are pretty lousy, it's a popular modification to replace it with an aftermarket model. Very widespread modding interest in these guns.

I have an old Phase 2 1377 I recently bought. The old breech is warped like crazy so it's customizing time.

Ya gotta love those BB guns and pellet guns. They are inexpensive and fun. Check out the hunting pellets that have a steel BB on top. They have wicked penetration...very similar to a .22LR. I amdoing some tests...will post with pictures when completed.

Abtomat: Yes, the widespread modding interest is one reason I got it; not that I anticipate modding mine anytime soon, but that there are people out there will the skills and the informative websites is a big advantage IMO. Spare parts shouldn't be a problem, barring societal breakdown.

Doc2005: intriguing; do you have a link to an example of these pellets you mention? I look forward to seeing your tests!
