Hello, I have a remington 7400 that just started jamming after every shot. The gun is clean. It jams no matter which clip I use and no matter which ammo I use. I am shooting factory ammunition. I could use some advise/options as to causes or fixes.

Thanks Vince

Sorry, too little info. One possibility is a clogged gas port.

how and when does the gun "jam"

Does it eject the spent round ?
Is it jamming thre round comming out of the mag?

Try shooting it as a single shot with the mag in and empty.How does it work then.

Generally I have found the problems with semi rifles is one or both of the following;
1. gun is dirty
2.chamber needs to be scrubbed and or polished.
another possibility is the ammo.

Reloaded ammo and not using a small base sizing die causes grief.

another possibility is the extractor is damaged

I'd clean the chamber really good and give her another try. I've got a 742 and after years of neglect she started jamming due to all the crud in the chamber. I actually saw a 742 in .30-06 rip the head off a ctg. that was lodged in the chamber.
