I just bought correction my dad just bought a snub nose 357 (im not 21 yet:evil:) but i love to reload and im just wondering what would be some decent loads to shoot.

I've shot 38's out of it and those were fun but like i said i love to reload so if anyone has any good load for 38's or some light 357 load data it woul be much appreciated:)

(Come to think of it i should of posted in the handloading section but i figured you guys would respond better:))

I use 125 grain berry's plated flat points and 7.5 grains of universal. it's a good light .357 load. If you want to go lighter look into a .38 target load.

158GR LSWC and 6.3gr of 231, makes for a nice load.

If you want to go with Alliant powder, start here

If you want light target loads look at IMR Trail Boss. Can be used for 38 and 357.

11.3 grains of AA#9 will give you about 950 fps with 158 gr. cast or jacketed as a medium load for .357.

Best light load I have is the X-Treme 158gr FP over 3.3grAA#2, OAL of 1.430. The Smith 10-8 does well with this one. All load data for academic use only, YMMV, take own risks, etc.
