This had been found (planted) in my home and I'm just curious.....
The PD took it apart (it had been loaded) and they said it's old and there's no maker name on it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like a Jennings or some other pot-metal cheapy.
What do you mean "planted"? By the cops?

jennings .22, used to have one... it was black-painted steel though.
Cost all of $25 at the local gun shop... pretty well used up. I finished her off within 1,000 rounds or so, by the time the extractor broke (and it wasn't worth the $5 to replace) it was shooting full auto, or random length bursts.
Too scary a gun to put in my hands.

It's a 25 Auto originally built by Tanfoglio, either as a "GT27" (their name), or as a "Titan" (the name used by EIG, FIE, and a couple of other importers). After imports of this pistol were cut off in 1968, the same pistol was built in the US by a couple of different manufacturers, but the parts are all still interchangeable.

No, not planted by the cops. It was planted by my drug-addicted criminal ex-husband in a failed attempt to have me arrested. I called the PD when I found it. They said it was old and untraceable. The safety on it was broken.

Agree with SDC, it looks like a FIE Tiger. Cheap junk of very little use except...
Sorry for your plight.

You're right. I researched it on the web and it's a Tanfoglio GT27. Thanks for your help!!
