Howdy folks. What do you know about Armscor's AK22 and M1600? I saw them when I was a kid at a flea market many moons ago and forgot about them. Then I saw a few on gunbroker and it got me thinking about them again. I wouldn't mind getting one for fun (and depending on your reviews, maybe for PDogs and Squirrels). What do you know about the reliability, craftsmanship, accuracy, availibility of replacement parts and the sort? Who owns one?

I have not shot them, but have handled the AK and read a detailed review in Gun Tests magazine. They were favorably impressed and thought it was a decent plinking rifle. If you'd like a copy of the review and can't find it on their web site, let me know and I can dig out my copy and send it to you.

The manual really blows. It is only nine pages long, including a four page parts list. In other words, good luck taking it apart for cleaning. To see what I mean, here is a link:
