Folks, what are some of the favorite, most accurate, etc. loads that you have developed for the Swiss K-31 rifles, (7.5 Swiss). I'm looking for to develop a load for the Nosler ballistic tip in 180 grains (.308), using IMR 4350, but please list any of your most accurate, favorite, 7.5 Swiss loads, thanks!

my most accurate load for the K-31 is a 150gr. Rem. PSP bullet over 38.5gr.of IMR 4064,with the OAL .010in. short of the lands.I have 3 K-31's,all with different throat lengths.my serious loads are rifle specific as to OAL,with my plinking loads set for the short length rifle.brass is sized using the Redding K-31 specific loading dies. jwr

The following is quite accurate, duplicates the velocity of Swiss AP11 Swiss Ball headstamp DA 78 ammunition, and allows me to use up those too many kegs of 4350 that I own.
168 gr Nosler Match 51.0 gr AA4350 INDEP brass and primer OAL 2.850
22 Dec 01 T = 58 ° F
Ave Vel = 2536
Std Dev = 16
ES= 45
Low= 2510
High= 2555
N= 9

I load 42 grains of 4064 under a 180 grn SMK.
If you already have 4350 you probably don't need to run out and buy 4064 as it's not as versatile as 4350.
4350 also normally produces more velocity with less pressure using heavier bullets. 4064 is more useful with 150 grain bullets.

Thanks so much, guys, for your load information. Actually, I currently use 39 grains of IMR 4064 underneath the M72 pulled, 173 grain bullets, and it works out pretty well.
Please keep the loads coming!

How well? I've ordered a bunch of the 173s last year for just this purpose, though I haven't loaded them yet. What results with other than 39.0 grains? Thanks.

Well, when I do my part, I can get 1-2" groups at 100 yards with 39 grains of IMR 4064 and the 173 grain pulled bullets. I just purchased a Caldwell "The Rock" bench rest and hopefully it will help me tighten up my groups. I have had 4 rounds touching, on a good day with this load.

My favorite K-31 load:
.284Win brass, resized.
150gr. Speer Hot-Cor bullet (or 150gr. Sierra GameKing)
43gr. H335
CCI 250 large rifle magnum primer.
I get about 1.5MOA with it, and took my first hog with it. It runs about 2500fps, which is a little lighter than a .308.

Where are you guys finding your 173gr pulled bullets? Is high-tech ammo still in stock with 147 gr pulled bullets ? I cant find their website for some reason.
I used 168gr Hornady sp on top of 44.0 gr of H4350 with good results but thats all i hav tried so far.

I purchased my 173 grain pulled bullets several years ago. It is my understanding that they are pretty scarce now.
