* Too heavy/need the Airweight.
* not stainless
* exposed hammer gets caught in everything
* square butt's too big
* wood grips don't feel/fit right
You all keep believing all the above statements, keeps prices low. :D
It looks better in person. Also, what's the born on date for SN J835xx?

Now all you need is a square-butt snub-nosed Model 34 for cheap practice. Nothing like an all-steel, short-barreled, six-shot, adjustable-sighted, .22LR revolver for shear practicality. . .
Yes, I do have one.

Your piece of blued-steel trash was made 1969 or 70, and is clearly too old to be fired. The best alternative would be to retire it in my safe... :evil:

This one sat in the gunstore for a long time, untouched, unlooked at while all the shoppers snatched up the poly pistols, the 1911s, the stainless airweight (and with the lock) revolvers, until, I saved it from uncertainty and took it home today...
... for the grand sum total of $250. :D Almost picked up a flat-latch roundbutt, pre37, but this one is pristine and barely has a turn line. The airweight was in rough shape and lockup wasn't as tight.
Plus, there's no 36 club.
Thanks much Fuff, just nice to know that sometimes. And no.

Ya know that's the way it always is... Nobody ever sends me any guns. :D

Actually I had to bestow it on my wife as this was only revolver I had that she could handle.:mad:
And yes, it IS a 36 not a 60. Someone before me had it hard-chromed and converted to round butt.

Them poor old M-36s no dash are a sad sight. I know what you mean as I just save to in like new condition.

My wife recently bought a 642 for everyday carry and for her nightstand. She kept the CT grips, but I got my old pocket buddy back.

I picked up a 1980 vintage square butt 37 for $200 under very similar circumstances. Nobody wanted that old thing, but it is a sweet revolver, especially with a tr-grip on it.
