Hi,
I'm hoping someone tried this before. I have a High standard DA derringer in .22mag. I'm wondering if the conversion to .22LR can be accomplished by just changing the barrels to the .22LR ones. I see the .22LR barrels for sale once in a while, but don't want to gamble on it not working. Its seems like everything would be similiar with the exception of the chambering. High Standard is defunct & I can't find any info to this question. I'm assuming the frame & firing pin/breechface is standard on the two models.

Thanks for any help :)

Yes, you can convert your Hi-Standard by changing the barrel, so long as it locks up properly - as it should. The only other difference between the guns is a slightly larger hammer (main) spring in the Magnum.
