Just got 2 in, and they look good. Both are in 4 3/4" m 357mags. Case hardening is nice and fit is good for most part. Side plate to frame fit on right side of both guns is a little uneven, nothing I cannot live with.
I have shot OM Vaqueros since 1987 and wanted a new toy. These looked like the best option for the money. Will take them out back tomorrow and try them out. Let you all know how they do.....

Finally shot them today, 7 yd targets which are about average for CASS, Using Traditional 2 hand hold they both shot 3 1/2 " low and 2 " to left. Not unusual for SA's. Used 124gr lead with 3.1gr Titegroup and Crimp of 1.455 oal.
Shooting Gunfighter style and using a file, I took .054 and .051 off the front sights to hit center. I may have barrel turned later to move hits to right. Shooting from bags they would group a hole measuring 1"- 1 1/4" , good enough for CASS.
Triggers are fine for out of the box, may be the first pistols I will not change springs on. They have consecutive serial #'s and may explain POA being so similiar. Exxxx41 is a smoother overall action. Exxx40 is rougher trigger and the cylinder will turn in opposite direction against bolt with slight pressure, not uncommon with SA's. Both have VERY tight cylinders and good timing.
I am very happy so far, especially for the price . Would buy again.
Take care....

Sounds good, but....

I believe the front sights are high on purpose. It is far easier to remove a little metal to zero the gun, then to have to put more on... :scrutiny:

You're right, the posts would be better if there were pictures, but ya' know - not everybody has a digital camera... :uhoh:
Others find it dificult to go through the hassle to post pictures, particularly getting them sized right.
But anyway, I find the text to be interesting and informative anyway. ;)

As to pictures, if you don't know what a single action army (copy) looks like by now, you are way behind the curve.

Good choice. I bought myself a pair for my birthday last year, and now they're my main match guns. Won me a few matches, lately, too.
I was about to ask if you'd noticed a weight difference between the GW II's and normal colt clones, but then reflected that you're coming from heavy framed rugers, and might not. Anyhow, I've noticed that they seem a bit heavier than my other pair of .357s, even though the GWs are 4 3/4", and the AWAs are 7 1/2" guns. Strange, anyhow. Might be something in the metallurgy?
