My wife and I will be traveling to The Big Easy within the next year. Does anybody know if Louisiana will honor my GA Firearms License (concealed weapons license)? Any links, etc? Suggestions or opinions?

www.packing.org should have info.

If Georgia isn't recognized, then Florida would be.

Hey, thanks, Lonnie. That is a good link and a quick reply.

IIRC, there is no reciprocity between Louisiana and Georgia for CCW permits (darn!).

Preacherman is right. Your best bet, as Lonnie mentioned above, is to get a FL non-resident permit. That will open a lot more than Louisiana to you, it is one of the best to have in general.

Louisiana hasn't really oppened up its reciprocity for CCW for some unkown reason. More states accept our CCW than we do their's. Hopefully that'll change soon.
