Gun Distributor Sues Victim's Widow

6/20/2003 Valor Corp., the gun distributor that sold the handgun used to kill
Lake Worth Middle School teacher Barry Grunow, is suing Pam Grunow to recoup legal fees and costs stemming from Grunow's case against the company, the

South Florida Sun-Sentinel</A> reported June 17.
The wife of the Florida school teacher sued Valor for negligence, saying the gun distributor sold the .25-caliber Raven Arms pistol used in the killing without adequate safety features.

But the jury found the gun's owner 95 percent responsible for the shooting, and also faulted the Palm Beach County School Board for not having better security in its schools.
Valor was found only 5 percent liable in the civil trial. The company is now seeking hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees and costs from Pam Grunow.

"We spent thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars defending this case," said New York City attorney John Renzulli, who specializes in defending the gun industry. "I don't know what the bottom line is."
The attorney for Pam Grunow said Valor's lawsuit is a form of intimidation to stop her from filing an appeal.

Brunow was shot on the last day of classes in May 2000 by student Nathaniel Brazill, who is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for
second-degree murder.

The bottom line is bankruptcy by patently ludicrous law suit. My hat's off to this company for standing up and fighting back against the leftist extremists.

I hope Valor wins and collects in full.

I can't even say that this is giving them back their own medicine.

Because the widow misused the law to attack the 2nd amendment and to enrich herself.

Valor's suit is fully and morally justified.

I hope this spreads.

"The attorney for Pam Grunow said Valor's lawsuit is a form of intimidation to stop her from filing an appeal."

In other news, the attorney for Pam Grunow is suing Valor Arms for attempted restriction on free trade - alleging that Valor is preventing him/her from making a living by frightening potential clients from filing and continuing with frivolous lawsuits.

I'm going to buy a Raven just because of their actions-won't stake my life on it but I believe people who put their money where their mouth is deserve our support.

I see they have discovered that the lawsuit is the new punch in the face.

She sounds like she needed a punch in the face.

wonder how she likes all this being civilized and peaceful about conflicts?

Well, maybe I was a bit hasty-Valor is a distributor, so maybe they sell something better than a Raven. There's LOTS of things better than a Raven! Although, it did shoot once, and killed a human being.
