I just seen one on gunbroker.com . I didn't know Marlin made shot guns . They are very nice looking . From what I seen on gun broker , they go for about a grand . Anyone know anything about them .

New, made in Italy. The name is old, but these have nothing to do with the ones made from the 1880s to 1949.

Made in Italy , is that good or bad . I know Marlin always made good rifles . If the SxS are made like the old L.C.Smiths , I am thinking they must be OK , that , and they are a grand .

R, The jury's still out on that. Some Italian guns are terrific, like Beretta, Piotti, Fabbri, Bosis etc, Second tier makers like Rizzini, Fausti make good guns but quality is not as good. And it goes down from there. Where the Marlins fall is to me so far unknown.
I'd hold off on one for now....
