Bought an Anaconda a while back, and while I do not enjoy shooting magnum loads, I was wondering how well it would hold up both on heavy loads and light.
Love the trigger, love the balance, but REALLY don't want to send it to a smith if it gets worn out.
Thanks.

If the Anaconda is anything like the Python I would say have at it. It should be plenty strong enough to handle the magnum loads. My Pythons are fine shooters and has taken the factory loads I have tried (158 and 125 grain Magnum loads) with no problems. Enjoy the Anaconda. Also check out the Colt forum.

Anacondas are said to have very strong frames and the timing isn't the more delicate one of the Python, IIRC. It is made for magnum loads.

The Anaconda was a great idea by Colt. The problem is it was 15 years too late and missed the growth in popularity of the 44 magnum round. It should handle any factory loads without a problem.

Great. Thanks, folks.
Now if only I can muster enough bravado to shoot magnum loads again.
