What type of handgun do you carry most? Although I have other larger weapons, I carry a S&W j-frame more than any other handgun. So, regardless of how many 1911's or Desert Eagled that you own, what do you carry most often? Choose only one. Looking forward to your responses.
Thanks,
David

Usually a fullsize 1911. It's the platform I'm most familiar with. If it's hot, or raining and I don't want my 1911 to rust I'll carry a HK P2000 DA/SA :D

I know you said pick one, but I really can't do that because I switch back and forth between three, but right now, I'm trying to convince myself to make it a Colt Commander in 45 ACP.
If I'm riding my motorcycle, a Makarov.

Type of gun - the kind I can draw, point and shoot.
Most of the time that's a P2000, but with seasons/wardrobe that can change, my carry gun occasionally does too. I go out of my way to keep the manual of arms the same though.

SP101, on me or within reach 24/7. Big enough to act like a real fighting handgun, small enough for pocket or ankle rig. I have three of them, and have been known to carry more than one at a time. Usually, the SP101 is carried along with a larger .357 sixgun or my SIG duty pistol.

If I can conceal it well- Sig P220 .45acp with Ranger SXT's
If I need smaller- Sig P239 9mm with Gold Dots

I try my dangdest to carry my Sig GSR 1911 if I carry anything...
Sometimes it ain't possible or realistic though, and I end up carrying an sp101.
Unless the woods call. Then it's one of the Redhawks.
I'd rank all the carry time as:
60% 1911
25% sp101
15% Redhawk

My summer carry setup normally includes pocket carrying my Kahr PM9, a defensive blade, and pocket flashlight (+ spare 7 round mag loaded with cor bon DPX 115gr +P ammo). In the winter time, its IWB XD40 service (+ spare mag loaded with golden sabers or DPX) with the light and blade. I know, I know, choose only one! But by golly, it's weather-dependent! ;)

A 1911 5".
If Colt, either a Gunsite Custom Pistol or series 80 Government.
OR
If Kimber, either a Warrior or Series one Gold Combat Stainless or CDP.
All in 5" carried in a Milt Sparks VM II for CCW.
Working on a FN Highpower MKIII. It is much more narrow than the 1911's except the grip, and that's much shorter. VM II ordered.
These are my summer carry weapons. The same one's I carry in the winter.
I am from Florida, and now live in the Phoenix area of Arizona.
Go figure.

Beretta Tomcat.
It is simple to conceal. Most importantly, after quite a few years of carry and a few thousand rounds, it has never misfed or misfired. I did have a problem with the trigger return spring but the gun still worked and was fixed in a matter of minutes for free by a gunsmith here in town.
I do wish they would figure out a way to chamber it for .45!

Most of my carry is in grizzly country so I carry a 500 Linebaugh the most.
It has Buffalo Bore ammo in it. Its already killed several bear and works quite well.
City carry is normally some form of J frame S&W or a Glock 23 or a S&W 1911PD.
