Bisley grip frame on Blackhawk

Is it possible to put a Bisley grip frame on a BH? I'm looking at a BH in .45 with the 4 5/8 in bbl but the grip is small for me and I really like the Bisley grip frame. From pics it looks like the Bisley frame is different than the BH and wont work. Anybody have any info on if/how this can be done??

Nice looking guns. I was thinking--would it just be easier to get a Bisley and chop the barrel?? I could do this but the only prob I would have is if the front sight is brazed on and not screwed on. Does anybody know??

As long as it's a "New Model" (aka "2 screw") type, Brownell's has all the parts you need to switch over. See also this thread covering SA upgrade bits:

cheapest way to do it is like i did I bought a bisley .44 swaped the grip frame to my bh .41 and sold the .44 with the bh frame on it. It bolted right up fit wasnt perfect but good and that way there allready finished.

Here is an Accusport Bisley, but you can easily but the Bisley grip frame on a Blackhawk.
