Someone said they had all the pre WWII colt revolvers and if I gave the dimensions they might be able to help me. So here are the dimensions of my unknown grips:
3 1/16 inches high,
1 11/16 wide at the widest point on the bottom
and 1 inch wide at the top part, where it has the radius
The grips fit onto a Colt Police Positive that I just bought, but they are about a 1/4 inch too wide on the back. The radius on the top part of the grips fits perfectly, as does the inside portion and the botton fits OK, but they stick out over the backstrap 1/4 inch. Any help identifying what these might fit would be greatly appreciated!
Does anyone have experience working with mother of pearl? I heard the dust is toxic. I know its fragile, but we might shape these grips to fit the Police Positive we have.
Thanks everyone
